Our Greenbriar Homeowners Association worked with Coastal Pure to cut back on the amount of chlorine we were using. This was first reviewed as though making the change would be a cost saving with a 1-2 year payback. We are excited that not only did we meet this goal easily, but our pool is 100% DHEC compliant. Our Certified Pool Operator is happy as well with this new opportunity. The Greenbriar Community has been using this new technology for more than 2 years with expected results. A very positive situation exists. The best result is that we will also continue to have this savings each year and the condition of our pool water is as good as pure drinking water! I’ve taken the time to keep track of total chemical usage and expenditure. I’ve compared June & July 2010 to June and July 2011. For these 2 months we have saved right at 50% of the chemicals added to our 125,000 gallon community pool, compared to last year. Because our pool is so big, these savings are significant. Comparing this year to last year, I would say that by far, WindJammer has had the best quality swimming pool water we’ve ever had. Plus, because of the unusually hot summer weather, our pool has had a very high bather load. I expect to see much higher percentages of cost savings when we go into the winter months.
